Microchipping is a walk in the park
With thousands of pets going missing in the UK each year, Arthur Lodge Veterinary Group is delighted to announce that they will be holding mobile microchipping days around West Sussex during the month of June.
The mobile microchipping days are in celebration of June's National Microchipping Month and the vets and nurses from the surgeries will be at Chesworth Farm, Southwater Country Park and Horsham Park, 11am to 3pm from the 1st to the 3rd June respectively providing the chips for just £8.99.
Microchipping is a safe, simple, and effective way to prevent the loss of a pet. A chip about the size of a grain of rice, which is encoded with a pet's vital information, is implanted beneath the animals skin. This process allows veterinary hospitals and animal shelters around the world to indentify a pet should they go missing.
What's more, with hundreds of pet owners expected to go on holiday with their four legged friends this year, Microchipping is essential as Pet Passports will not be issued if a pet hasn't been chipped.
Owner of Arthur Lodge Veterinary Group, Julian Peters, commented: "Our mobile microchipping days are a great way to combine your normal dog walk and ensure your pet's safety should they ever get lost."
The mobile microchipping units will be situated on the main track at Chesworth Farm, by the visitor centre in Southwater Country Park and by the bandstand within Horsham Park.
