Free Nurse Clinics
In order to deliver a 5 star service, we offer a number of free check-ups for our patients. We can keep an eye on your pet's weight, make sure their teeth are sparkling and watch out for fleas.
These check-ups are just another addition to our already extensive range of treatments such as vaccinations and neutering.
Below are just some of the many free clinics we offer all of our customers:
Post Op Checks
Everyone needs a lot of care and attention after an operation, so at Arthur Lodge, we make sure that we keep an extra close eye on your pets after any procedure. These checks allow us to monitor how well they are healing meaning that we can pick up on any infections as quick as possible. We also keep a check on how they are recovering from the anaesthetic as well as their eating regime following the treatment. We will offer you advice on how best to look after your pet in the days and weeks after the operation. It also gives you the perfect opportunity to raise any worries or queries you may have.
Pets need to watch their weight just as much as us humans, which is why we offer weight clinics at Arthur Lodge. We will monitor your pet’s weight on a regular basis as well as offering dietary advice. At Arthur Lodge, we understand that all animals are individual so we will make sure that every bit of advice is specific to your own pet.
Senior Pet Clinics
From around 8 to 9 years old, cats and dogs start to enter their senior years and we are here to help when they reach that stage. It is important to make sure that your pet gets some extra attention at this time to maintain a high quality of life. The clinic means that we can keep a watch out for any signs and symptoms of diseases which can develop in older pets. As we all know, prevention is better than cure! We can also devise an individual treatment plan for your pet as well as offering you, the owner, support and advice for caring for your ageing pet at home.
We all know how important it is to keep on top of your teeth and animals’ teeth are just as sensitive as ours. We offer dental check-ups for dogs over 3 years of age and cats over 5 years. This allows us to check for early signs of gum disease and ensure that your pet’s teeth are simply sparkling.
Every Thursday and Friday, we run diabetic clinics. These sessions allow us to monitor your pet’s diabetes as well as giving you advice on how you can control it. It is also an ideal chance for you to ask any questions about diabetes in pets.
Worming and flea treatment
We are always happy to offer advice to pet owners on the best way to treat their pets in order to keep on top of regular treatment for worming and fleas. We will be able to go through the different options available to you and also book you in for any necessary treatments that your pet may require.
All youngsters need an extra bit of TLC and Arthur Lodge are ready and waiting to give it to them. It can be worrying looking after a new puppy and kitten which is why we offer 6 monthly check-ups for your new additions. We keep an eye on their developments, including teeth and weight. The aim of the game is to put your mind at rest and we are more than happy to assist. Call the surgery to make an appointment.
It is a common fact that fireworks are a nightmare for pet owners, especially for those animals who are especially spooked by the loud bangs and pops. We are here to offer help and advice on how to settle your pet. It is best to start calming treatments around 3 weeks before Bonfire Night so call and make an appointment with Zelda now.
